The services are available for only mainstream versions, so the 2019 version has been kicked out of the facility, whereas, the 2016 version was already out of mainstream, but availed an exception from Microsoft until 2025.

The end of support for services does not mean, that both versions are completely disconnected from the company, it means they are connected to Microsoft, but wouldn’t avail of any technical support and new updates couldn’t be used. 

Office Mobile: Two Features Removed

Two basic changes were taken by Microsoft for Mobile applications;

1. Transfer Files or File Sharing feature has been removed for the sake of OneDrive.
2. Share Nearby will be continued via nearby devices. The restriction focuses only on Microsoft 365 and the cloud. 

Both the features are removed from December 31, 2022.

Decreases in OneDrive Storage

The storage on OneDrive for commercial users has been limited to one terabyte from Feb 1, 2023. Microsoft has announced to delivery additional 50GB of storage for free for Microsoft 365 users. It will help to adjust the email attachments as well.

Real-time Collaboration

The storing of files and documents on OneDrive allows the users to collaborate with their team in real time and improve productivity. You need to share the link with your team, and anyone can work on Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, and easily make changes in your docs. 

The workflow will be enhanced as the comment feature gives a quick response instead of waiting for email or physical meetings. Moreover, the integration of all apps with Skype enables users to chat and share screens in real time without switching from the apps. 

Use Power Map to Create Data Maps

Power Map is a pleasant addition to Office 365 that helps you use data of Excel and change it into an interactive 3D map. It will help you to analyze data and gather insights. It is simple to use such as use the Power Map button in Excel, and create a cinematic presentation by plotting the data points on a 3D globe or custom map. You can filter out the rows and columns.
